DCHS students earn honors at MCTM Math competition
The results are in for the Dawson County High School students who attended the 2024 MCTM Math competition. The competition was held in Sidney on March 19. In the competition, each student completed three individual math tests, then worked with a team on one final test. The tests are specific for each grade level, several area schools attend, and scholarships are possible for the top scoring seniors.

American Legion Hosts Memorial Day Program
Thomas Mann Post #81 of the American Legion in Culbertson hosted a Memorial Day program at the legion hall Monday, May 27. Incoming post commander Christopher Petersen was master of ceremonies and delivered the main address, which centered on the sacrifices made by veterans since WWII, including a special emphasis on the challenges faced by bomber squadrons.
Fish Sampled At Ike’s
Seventh graders from Culbertson visited Ike’s Fishing Pond & Waling path May 21. Marc Kloker, Jared Krebs and Cody Hayden from Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks were on hand to sample fish and declared the pond a healthy habitat for its population of perch and trout.
