WILLISTON, N.D. (KUMV) - A wet week throughout eastern Montana and western North Dakota was a welcome sight for area producers. More than a half inch of rain fell throughout the region since Monday, with many places recording more than an inch. Some planters, like Adam Cayko near Fairview, call it a blessing because it came after his crops were seeded.
Culbertson Takes Part In Fairview Meet
Culbertson accounted for 28 points in the girls’ division and 29 points in the boys’ division during the Fairview Invitational track meet on Wednesday, May 1. Destiny Thompson came through with a second-place showing in the javelin with a mark of 107-0. The senior placed fourth in the shot put at 29-1 and fifth in the 100 at 14.27 seconds.
Trenton Site Destined to Be Maternal and Infant Health & Innovation Center
The New Jersey Economic Development Authority (NJEDA) Board has approved a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Trenton Board of Education (BOE) and the New Jersey Schools Development Authority (NJSDA) to purchase property in downtown Trenton as the future home of the Maternal and Infant Health and Innovation Center (MIHIC). The Center will serve as a hub for stakeholders committed to eliminating racial disparities and advancing maternal and infant health equity in the state.

CHS Junior Budurean Heads Home To Romania
Seventeen year old junior Florian Budurean has been living in Culbertson with Cassandra and Eric Bergum and their family and attending Culbertson High School this year as part of a year long foreign exchange program. Budurean said he qualified for the program after winning a scholarship contest in his home region of Banat in Romania. “The Bergums chose me,” he told the Community News, adding, “they are the best people and I am very grateful.”
