State police announce DWI, theft arrests
On May 1, at around 8:10 p.m. PA state troopers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Route 739 at Village Center Drive in Blooming Grove Township for a traffic violation. The police on the scene alleged that the driver, a 44-year-old man from Hawley in a 1988 Volvo, was “substantially impaired and incapable of safe driving while being in actual physical control of his vehicle,” citing the use of alcoholic beverages and illegal drugs prior to his driving. The driver was placed under arrest for driving under the influence. According to the police report, charges are pending.
