Boil water advisory issued for Whiteville
WHITEVILLE, N.C. (WECT) - Water customers in Whiteville are experiencing low pressure and outages Friday morning, June 7, according to the city. Per Whiteville, all consumers of the City of Whiteville Water System are asked to boil all water used for human consumption, which includes drinking, making ice, brushing teeth, washing dishes and food preparation, or to use bottled water.
Boil Advisory Lifted
City of Whiteville water customers no longer need to boil their water. ”Based on the laboratory analysis of water samples collected from the City of Whiteville on June 7, 2024, water users are hereby notified that it is no longer necessary to boil water used for human consumption,” the city posted on social media this morning. “The system has resumed normal operations.”
