    Boys golf: Lakeside shoots season-low to finish 2nd at Lake Ripley; Lake Mills ties for 3rd

    CAMBRIDGE — Lakeside Lutheran easily established a new season-best score and Lake Mills tied its previous lowest at Monday’s Capitol Conference boys golf mini meet, which saw the Warriors place second and the L-Cats tie for third at Lake Ripley Country Club.

    The Warriors fired a 161, finishing two strokes behind host Cambridge. Lakeside’s Cooper Jensen shot 39 to place fourth, Henry Moore shot 40 to tie for fifth while Kooper Mlsna and Reilly Jobke both shot 41s.

    The L-Cats, who matched the 167 score they shot at their home meet earlier in April, tied for third. Justin Stilling shot 40, tying for fifth. KC Hagedorn shot 41, Preston Thiede shot 42 and Hayden O’Connor shot 44.

    Cambridge’s Kian Bystol-Flores shot 36 to earn medalist accolades by one stroke.

    Lake Mills Golf Course hosts the next mini meet on Thursday starting at 3:30 p.m.

    Team scores: Cambridge 159, Lakeside Lutheran 161, Lake Mills 167, Monticello/Belleville 167, New Glarus 168, Lodi 175, Columbus 187, Wisconsin Heights 206.
