Artesia man has seventh set of charges dismissed on grounds of incompetency
Your browser does not support the audio element. For the seventh time in three years, an Artesia man has had criminal charges dismissed on the grounds of incompetency. Cruz Alexander Munoz, 31, had his latest charge of criminal trespassing dismissed April 5 by the Fifth Judicial District Court. Munoz was arrested on the charge by the Artesia Police Department on Feb. 14 while actively awaiting a competency determination on his Dec. 26, 2023, arrest for receiving stolen property, possession of drug paraphernalia, bringing contraband into a jail, criminal trespassing, and resisting, evading or obstructing an officer.
