LAFAYETTE, Ind. — Fans of the cult classic "The Sandlot" will have the chance to relive the 1993 film's big screen premiere alongside the original cast in downtown Lafayette this summer.

Hosted by The Long Center for the Performing Arts on Aug. 10, fans will have the chance to engage in a Q&A with original cast members, including Tom Guiry “Smalls,” Chauncey Leopardi “Squints,” Marty York “Yeah Yeah,” and possibly others based on availability. Along with answering fan questions, cast members will also take the time to tell anecdotes from the movie as well as their perspectives on how the movie was filmed, what behind the scenes events happened and why it is still a great memory to all of them.

John Hughey, executive director for The Long Center, said the chance to book this event for an iconic movie was something his team knew would be popular among fans of the film.

"We were looking at different options but the anniversary of The Sandlot won our hearts. It is iconic," Hughey said. "Movie screenings with the original casts on stage gives fans a chance to go behind-the-scenes."

Tickets for the event are on sale starting at $24 with limited VIP tickets available. For more information and to purchase tickets, go to longpac.org/events.
