Dog N Suds leans into traditions for 70th season
When Dog N Suds locations open for their 70th season serving the Lafayette area on Feb. 23, not much will have changed. The signature coney dogs, burgers and icy frosted mugs of root beer await eager customers to fill the parking lots yet again for the first taste of the season. And you know, to get 70, you obviously have to go to 50. You have to go to 60, and that takes hard work. Over the years I can tell you not much changes, and that might be the key to success.” Davenport believes the goal isn’t to simply provide a product, but to cultivate memories. And the places that do it best are the ones that stand the test of time. “I think you come here to make memories,” Davenport

My parents raised me on such great music, like Motown. These songs bring back memories of me growing up, like watching ‘Soul Train’ on Saturday. My parents would do their dancing and would be singing these songs. It’s so nostalgic.”
