Two top IU Health officials depart the company
LAFAYETTE, IN — Two top officials with Indiana University Health are no longer with the statewide health-care provider, after an internal announcement made Friday. Courtney Schmoll, senior communications consultant for IU Health, said in an email Tuesday that Chris Mansfield, chief operating officer and hospital administrator for IU Health Arnett hospital and leader of the Greater Lafayette Community Growth Project, and Art Vasquez, president of the north region for IU Health, are no longer employed by the company. Reasons for the pair's departure from the health-care provider were not disclosed. "We don't discuss individual personnel matters. At IU Health, our focus remains on upholding our organizational values and providing high-quality patient care," Schmoll said. "We have no further information to share at this time." Attempts to reach Mansfield and Vasquez for questions about their departure from the company were unsuccessful. Mansfield was appointed to the role of chief medical officer for IU Health's West Central Region in March 2022, overseeing IU Health Arnett, as well as White Memorial and the Frankfort hospitals. Mansfield, a Lafayette native and Lafayette Jeff graduate, returned to the community from Denver in 2009 to practice hospitalist medicine, according to his bio on IU Health's website.
