To minimize clogging of the drainage system screens, please do not blow grass clippings into the street. Please also check property lines along abutting alleys to ensure all brush, weeds, or vegetation is trimmed to allow passage of vehicles. The project’s website has been recently updated with new information, including the construction schedule, detours and navigation videos for drivers. As part of the $54 million project, MDOT plans to replace the northbound and southbound I-75 bridges over M-32 and rebuild M-32 between Edelweiss Village Parkway/Meecher Road and Wisconsin Avenue. The interchange will also be reconfigured as a DDI, which MDOT describes as “an alternative interchange that improves safety, increases traffic flow and can reduce construction costs.” The design was chosen based on community input and engineering review.
