High school students win ten medals at Skills USA conference
The school sent 45 students and seven advisors to the conference, participating in 24 different contests. – The Skills USA Chapter 211 from Paso Robles High School showcased their talent at the 57th annual California Skills USA Leadership & Skills Conference in Ontario, California, held from April 4 to 7. The event drew students and advisors from the school, who actively participated in various competitions.
Late-inning heroics helps baseball complete sweep
A grueling three-game series against the Chapman Panthers ended in a dramatic 7-5 win for the No. 10 Leopards in the second game of their doubleheader Saturday to complete a series sweep. According to the University of La Verne Athletics website that goes back to 2006, this is the first time in school history that the Leopards have swept the Panthers.
Rancho Cucamonga Excels at the Arcadia Invitational
Overview: Rancho Cucamonga High School’s Boys Relay teams won both the 4×100 and 4×200 relays at Arcadia High School, posting some of the best times in the state this year. The 4×100 team finished with a time of 41.32, while the 4×200 team won with a time of 1:27.48. The event is part of the Arcadia High School track and field tradition, which has produced 180 Olympians and 32 national high school records over 56 years.
Cal track and field soars at Mt. SAC Relays, sets stage for rivalry showdown at Big Meet
In a highly anticipated meet, Cal track and field delivered stellar performances at the Mt. SAC Relays in Walnut, California. The action kicked off on April 18, with sophomore Carolina Visca making waves in the women’s javelin elite section. Visca started strong with a season-high throw of 49.36 meters (161-11) on her first attempt, progressively improving to claim fourth place with a remarkable throw of 53.31 meters (174-11). Her performance catapulted her to the 13th spot on the women’s Division I list for the season.
