Webb Schools celebrate commencement
The Webb Schools’ commencement ceremonies took place June 1. Vivian Webb School’s 41st graduation on Faculty Field saw 52 young women receive diplomas. The commencement speaker was Webb alumna Abigail Johnson “AJ” Hess ’12, former Courier intern Jenny Wang was the class valedictorian. The Webb School of California held its 102nd commencement on the Alamo Lawn in the afternoon. Forty-three boys received diplomas and heard a commencement address from alumnus Jason Brooks ’99. Claremont graduations set for June 13
Commencement for Claremont High, San Antonio High, and Claremont Adult School is set for 6 p.m. Thursday June 13 at the CHS football stadium, 1601 N. Indian Hill Blvd. Gates open at 4:30 p.m. Each graduate will receive five field seat tickets to ceremony. Bleacher seats do not require a ticket.

Condit Elementary School third grader Elizabeth Hayward knows what it’s like to go without. She and her two brothers were in the foster care system before being adopted in 2018 by Claremont resident Victoria Hayward and her family. And now with six years of stability under her belt, the 9-year-old has launched a toy drive to supply summer gifts to Claremont Unified School District students in foster care.
