Intoxicated driver apprehended in Houston for reckless driving and drug possession
HOUSTON, Texas — A reckless driver was arrested in Houston on the evening of May 19, 2024, after nearly causing a collision on Riley Fuzzel Rd, Spring. A patrol deputy under Constable Ryan Gable spotted a white Mercedes SUV speeding east in the 2400 block of Riley Fuzzel Rd. The vehicle, driven by 36-year-old Juan Alarcon-Hernandez, of Houston, almost hit another car before being pulled over. Upon further investigation, Alarcon-Hernandez was arrested for reckless driving and possession of a controlled substance. The vehicle was towed from the scene, and Alarcon-Hernandez was transported to the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office jail.
3 shot at northwest Houston apartment complex, gunman on the run
HOUSTON — Three people were shot at an apartment complex in northwest Houston and police are looking for the gunman. Police were called around 11 p.m. to a complex on Pitner Road near Northwest Freeway for a report of a woman shot in her leg. When officers arrived they found three had been shot.

The storms may have passed but we are certainly not out of the woods of chaos just yet. Many people in the Houston area are now into their fourth day without electricity. Initially, when the storms hit on Thursday, the Greater Houston area saw more than 900,000 power outages at homes and businesses.

Houston woman claims man ejaculated on her in River Oaks Dollar Tree
HOUSTON - A Houston woman has filed suit against Dollar Tree after she claims she was sexually assaulted at the company’s River Oaks location last December. Attorney Anna Greenberg at Blizzard Greenberg Law is suing Dollar Tree and Fidelis Realty Partners, operators of the plaza, for negligence after the shopper was followed and harassed by a male customer. According to the suit, the female customer claimed the man ejaculated on her in the store.

Channelview Church catches fire late into the night, cause under investigation
Authorities are piecing together how a church in Channelview caught fire overnight Tuesday. It happened a little after 2:15 a.m. at the corner of Dell Dale and S Brentwood St. off East Freeway. That’s where officials with Channelview Fire Department were called, along with Crosby, Highlands, and several other agencies to respond.
