    LSE gets larger aircraft

LA CROSSE (WKBT) -- The La Crosse Regional Airport got an upgrade Monday afternoon.

Two of the American Airlines flights to Chicago will now be on an E-1-75 jet. It seats an additional 26 passengers and has first-class availability.

The upgrade to a larger plane comes about a year after Delta airlines stopped servicing La Crosse Regional.

The airports business manager, JD Roberts, says he hopes the new plane will give other airlines the proof they need to begin service at the airport.

"It's very important for airlines to see that our coulee region will utilize the airport in their air travel needs, so as long as we can fill the planes this is, uh, again a very important step in our air service journey," said Roberts.

Right now, American Airlines operates three flights a day from La Crosse Regional to Chicago O'Hare.
