La Crosse man killed in motorcycle accident

BROWNSVILLE, Minn. (WKBT) -- A La Crosse man is dead following a crash Wednesday night.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, a northbound motorcycle crashed into a car headed south on MN Highway 26 near Brownsville around 8:00 p.m.

The motorcycle's operator, 23-year-old Cameron Sokolik of La Crosse, was killed in the crash.

The other vehicle's driver, 45-year-old Kathleen Grangaard of Waukon, Iowa, was uninjured.

The incident report indicates Sokolik was wearing a helmet. It is unknown whether alcohol was involved, according to the report.

Four other agencies assisted state patrol at the scene.
