Soak It In, Seattle: One Last Mild Day Before Rain Train Rolls In
Seattle is starting Monday near 54 degrees under low clouds and fog, with light winds and a mostly dry forecast ahead. Temperatures should climb to around 70 degrees this afternoon, making for one more comfortable day before a wetter pattern takes over later this week. Some low clouds or fog may linger in spots this morning before breaking up.

Fall arrives in Seattle — and the weather got the memo
Fall got the memo. Driving the news: Autumn officially arrives in Seattle at 5:05pm today, with cooler temperatures and clouds arriving right on schedule. State of play: Expect cooler, cloudier weather this week, with widespread rain likely arriving around Thursday and continuing into the weekend, National Weather Service meteorologist Anna Lindeman told Axios. Highs could fall into the low 60s later this week, a little cooler than normal, with no significant warm-up in sight, she said. Flashback: Summer brought some long warm, dry stretches but largely spared Seattle the record-breaking heat of some recent years, Lindeman said. The big picture: Though fire season isn't completely over, the cooler, wetter weather is quickly dissipating fire concerns across Washington, said Lindeman. The bottom line: Welcome the change in seasons with a sunset walk, a warm bath, a scented candle, hot soup or a warm drink, and start pulling out those sweaters and boots.

We’re off to another calm and cool start with light offshore wind. A few sheltered spots will see some patchy fog, but it will be more isolated than yesterday and should clear out quickly. Then we’ll turn sunny and warm, with highs reaching the upper 70s and a few spots potentially touching the low 80s.
