While the future use of the building at 201 E. Moore St. in Southport is still undetermined, city leaders are taking the first steps to restoring the historic building. The downtown Southport building was once the center of Brunswick County. The building served as the Brunswick County Courthouse from 1854 until the county seat was moved to Bolivia in 1978. First ever Funky Flowers Fest held at Waterline Brewing
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — The first ever Funky Flowers Fest was held on Sunday. The event was held at Waterline Brewing Company in Wilmington. While sipping on a drink from the brewery, festivalgoers could visit a range of vendors selling food, handcrafted goods, plants, and of course, fresh cut flowers. Downtown ILM Market Owner Bethany Carpenter organized the festival. Her company regularly holds markets with different themes in downtown Wilmington, but she said a flower themed one has always been on her wish list.
