Nearly 2,000 gallons of sewage spill near Clayton subdivision
Nearly 2,000 gallons of wastewater spilled near a Clayton subdivision Monday. The Town of Clayton said a contractor’s plug was left in the gravity main, which resulted in approximately 1,800 gallons of untreated wastewater being released from multiple resident’s sewer service cleanouts, located along Pansy Park in Buckhorn Branch Subdivision. The untreated wastewater ran off into a storm drainage pond located beside 240 Spotted Doe Dr.
