Farmers market season is officially upon us. Downtown Indy’s Original Farmers’ Market kicked off on Monument Circle on Wednesday (check online for hours), with a number of prepared foods vendors as well as a produce spot, an egg guy, and a mushroom man. Wednesday night, it was the SoBro Market’s annual debut at 4842 N. College Ave., with beer, coffee, prepared foods, and loads of dogs (which are allowed). Summer Farmer’s Markets are back in the Circle City: Here’s 5 to visit this summer
Wednesdays, 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Originally located at the Indianapolis City Market, the Original Farmers’ Market has been temporarily relocated to Monument Circle for the 2024 growing season. Open from May 1 through Oct. 2, new and returning vendors will be selling their goods to the public every week. The announced market lineup features returning businesses such as Flying Dirt Farm, a local flower farm that sells bouquets, and Kim’s Key Lime cookies, a gourmet cookie bakery. New to the market are vendors such as Moonlight Baking Co., a locally owned bake shop featuring hand-made sourdough breads.
