LENOIR COUNTY, N.C. (WNCT) — Officers with the Lenoir County Sheriff’s Office arrested two men on Tuesday in connection with drug and gun charges.

Kinston residents Michael Hicks, 46, and Sean Branham, 35, were in a car that was being investigated by the Lenoir County Sheriff’s Office Street Crimes and Ready Response unit on Tuesday. Officers found MDMA mixed with fentanyl, cocaine, marijuana, and a concealed gun within the car.

Both men were arrested and charged with possession of Schedule VI controlled substances and paraphernalia. Hicks’ other charges were possession with intent to sell/deliver MDMA and Schedule I controlled substance, along with possession of Schedule II controlled substance. Branham was also charged for carrying a concealed gun.

Hicks was given a secured bond but Branham was given a no-bond hold since he was out on pretrial release for previous charges. Both were taken to the Lenoir County Detention Center.
