Rec League Notes: Kingsport offering outdoor volleyball leagues

KINGSPORT — The Kingsport Parks and Recreation Department will soon accept registrations for its 2024 Outdoor Volleyball League. Registration runs from April 29 through May 17. The 2024 season begins the week of May 28. All games will be played at Legion Field (next to the Civic Auditorium) on Fort Henry Drive.

Leagues offered include: 12U Youth Triples, 13U/14U Youth Triples, Women’s Triples, Men’s Doubles, Co-ed Doubles, Co-ed Quads and Senior Co-ed Quads (50+).

The registration cost is $30 for doubles, $45 for triples and $60 for quads. There is a $2 non-resident fee for anyone who lives outside the city limits. The youth age determination date is July 1, 2023. To register, visit https://bit.ly/3JgUZ21. Family Dodgeball Day is April 27

ROGERSVILLE — Rogersville Parks and Recreation Department will host Family Dodgeball Day on Saturday, April 27, at the Rogersville City Park tennis courts from 10 a.m. to noon.

The event is free. Teams will be put together on site throughout the morning, so everyone is invited to bring family and friends out to participate. No advance registration is required.

Dairy Cup partners with Church Hill Parks and Rec

MOUNT CARMEL — Dairy Cup will partner with the Church Hill Parks and Recreation Department to provide a free cup of soft serve ice cream to any rec league T-ball, softball or baseball players wearing their jerseys to the restaurant immediately following their games. Individuals or teams welcome.

Small weight cardio classes continue

ROGERSVILLE — Rogersville Parks and Recreation and ACE-certified trainer Neal Ewing will continue to offer Moving-U Fitness small weight cardio classes on Monday nights from 6-7 p.m. through June 3 at the Rogersville City Park stage.
