Michigan Clean Water Corps Leads 2024 effort in lake monitoring education
CRYSTAL FALLS, Mich. (WLUC) - Protecting lakes like Fortune Lake in Crystal Falls is the Michigan Clean Water Corps organization’s main goal. The organization held its annual Cooperative Lakes Monitoring Program on Saturday. Director Jo Latimore said the purpose of the program is to help volunteers monitor indicators of water quality in their lakes. She said she’s teaching attendees how to do things like measuring the clarity of the water.
