Emma Owens will continue her basketball career in Virginia
HARLAN, Ky. (WYMT) - Harlan Lady Dragon Emma Owens signed to play college basketball at Southwest Virginia on Tuesday. Owens averaged 13.4 points per game last season, making her the team’s third-leading scorer. In their first-round district win over Harlan County, Owens scored 11 points and grabbed two rebounds.

Downtown Harlan to get free public Wi-Fi
HARLAN, Ky. (WYMT) - A multi-year project will be celebrated on Saturday when Harlan County unveils free public wi-fi downtown. “The day and age we live in now, its hard to do anything without highspeed broadband,” said Judge-Executive Dan Mosley. “When you think of a downtown setting and how much business takes place in downtown, people having access to highspeed broadband is essential to be able to do business.”

Search warrant leads to drug bust in Harlan Co.
HARLAN CO., Ky. (WYMT) - Three people were arrested after police reportedly found them trafficking drugs. On Tuesday, deputies with the Harlan County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at a home on Hal Street in Cawood. Police arrested one suspect after he tried to get away on foot.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Kentucky State Police warn the public not to approach two teens that escaped from a Bell County group home. In a release, KSP said Post 10 in Harlan was looking for Jeremiah Fulton, a 17-year-old from Albany, Ky. and Bailin Milliner, a 16-year-old from Shepherdsville, Ky.
