Man shot in face during Sampson County car chase: Woman's former boyfriend fired shots at car, deputies say
A man was shot in the face inside of a car on Tuesday, according to the Sampson County Sheriff's Office. Deputies say the man and two others were in a car traveling along Fleet Cooper Road just south of Porter Road in Clinton around 9 a.m. on Tuesday. They were being chased and, deputies say, shot at by the estranged boyfriend of a woman in the car.

Bread Truck Crashes into House on Tuesday Morning
MOUNT OLIVE — This morning firefighters from Dudley were dispatched to a call where a Flowers Bakery truck had crashed into a house on 117 Alternate and Country Club Road. The Flowers Bakery truck was heading north on 117 Alternate, when it ran off the right side of the road, crossed a ditch, and crashed into the front porch of a house. No one in the house was injured.
