Delaware gas station employee grabs robber's gun, turns the tables
A quick-thinking gas station employee in Delaware was able to turn the tables on a robber by stealing the man's gun and scaring him off. According to Delaware State Police, on Thursday around 9:48 p.m., troopers responded to a report of a robbery at the Valero gas station located at 796 Old Baltimore Pike in Newark.
Newarkers honor the fallen with Memorial Day parade, ceremony
Newark honored America’s fallen service members Sunday during a two-part Memorial Day event. The day began with a somber ceremony in front of the University of Delaware's Memorial Hall. Then, the annual Memorial Day parade was held on Main Street, with marching units representing military branches, veterans’ organizations, schools and community organizations. The parade has been a Newark tradition for more nearly 90 years.

Physicians file to unionize to address understaffing, corporatization at ChristianaCare
Over 400 physicians at ChristianaCare have filed to become the first physician-led union in Delaware. The group outlined four major issues it hoped to address in the announcement of the filing: patient safety concerns due to understaffing; professional autonomy and decision-making power; "threat of corporate influence" on medical decision-making; and the "moral injury" caused by a lack of administrative support.

A federal grand jury returned a superseding indictment on Tuesday, May 7, 2024 which was unsealed earlier today, charging Owen Jarboe, age 18, of Hagerstown, Maryland, Evan Strauss, age 26, of Moneta, Virginia, and Brayden Grace, age 18, of Columbus, Ohio, with conspiracy, cyberstalking, interstate threatening communications, and threats to damage or destroy by means of fire and explosives.
