Owner of A Canine Gem to face additional charges
BEEKMANTOWN, N.Y. — The owner of a former animal rescue in Beekmantown, NY is due back in court on Wednesday to answer to additional charges. Hilary Davis, the owner and operator of A Canine Gem, is scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday evening to answer to more charges related to the seizure of 49 dogs living under her care.
3 NY corrections officers hospitalized after alleged attack by inmate
DANNEMORA, N.Y. (WCAX) - Three corrections officers were hospitalized after an alleged attack by an inmate at the Clinton Correctional Facility in Northern New York. Officials did not name the suspect in the attack at the Dannemora prison on April 19 but said a convicted murderer used a “plastic ice pick type weapon” to stab a corrections officer. That led to multiple other officers getting involved. One was put into a chokehold and another was injured while trying to detain the suspect.
