Kearney girls soccer makes first state tournament since 2021
KEARNEY, Neb. (KSNB) - Kearney High hosted the District A-5 girls soccer championship game on Wednesday. The Bearcats were the top-seed and welcomed in Millard West. The game finished 0-0 through regulation and the extra time, forcing a penalty shootout. The Bearcats finished as the district runner-up after loosing the shootout 4-3 to the Wildcats. However, Kearney will return to Omaha and participate in the Class A state tournament after securing the wildcard berth.
