County to open registration for youth Summer Fun Program on May 15
The County of Kauaʻi Department of Parks and Recreation says it will open registration for its 2024 Summer Fun Program in May 15 at 8 a.m. Registration is open through the county’s website, https://recreation.kauai.gov/wbwsc/webtrac.wsc/SPLASH.html. The County of Kauaʻi Public Information Office released the following statement on the program on May 3:
Firefighters battle multiple brush fires in Anahola, arson suspected
Kaua‘i firefighters extinguished several brush fires May 2 in Anahola. No injuries or damaged structures were reported. The blazes scorched about 5 acres. Firefighters were dispatched shortly after 5:40 p.m. Thursday to reports of multiple blazes near ‘Ehukai Road in Anahola. They were able to quickly extinguish three small brush fires after arriving.
