Gov. Pritzker Gives Bears Stadium Idea the Old Stiff-Arm
Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker gave the Bears a stiff-arm nearly as good as those Walter Payton used to put on approaching tacklers. Pritzker did not even attend a meeting with Bears president Kevin Warren to discuss the proposed Chicago domed stadium on the lakefront Wednesday, and the Chicago Tribune in a report said Pritzker spokesperson Alex Gough referred to the whole plan as a "non-starter for the state."

The event, celebrated each year on the anniversary of Caray's passing, honors the beloved Chicago sports broadcasting legend. This year, the toast is an "homage to all things cow-related," the event description says, "with an udderly legen-dairy celebration themed around Harry’s famous catchphrase: 'Holy Cow!'"

NASCAR IMPACT, the Chicago Street Race, and Chicago Public Schools (CPS) hosted more than 550 students at the second annual STEAM Fest at the Field Museum in downtown Chicago. NASCAR drivers, industry experts, and NASCAR representatives joined students from 46 STEM and STEAM Chicago Public Schools to assist with the second annual design-challenge. The winning teams from each grade group were recognized during an awards ceremony and presented with complimentary tickets for the 2024 Chicago Street Race in Grant Park, July 6-7.
