Palm Beach County taco spot lands on USA TODAY's best in America list
Move over, Taco Tuesday. A hometown taco chain just earned national bragging rights. Rocco's Tacos & Tequila Bar landed on USA TODAY's best tacos in America , a list compiled by food writers across the country. For locals, Rocco's is more than a place for tacos, margaritas and tableside guacamole. It is a Palm Beach County success story that began on Clematis Street in West Palm Beach in 2007 and grew from a single restaurant into a multistate brand. Founder Rocco Mangel said the recognition is especially meaningful because of those local roots. "It's an incredible feeling to see Rocco's Tacos recognized on a national level, especially because this all started right here in West Palm Beach with a simple idea: great food, good drinks and bringing people together," Mangel said. He credited the restaurant's employees and longtime patrons turning that idea into something much larger. "We've always put our heart into what we do, and none of it would be possible without our amazing team and the guests who have supported us over the years," he said.
