Concert Truck stops in Joplin for 7 performances, here’s where
JOPLIN, Mo. — A unique venue is bringing classical music to Joplin. The Baltimore-based Concert Truck rehearsed for this week’s performances in the Cornell Complex parking lot Tuesday. It’s a box truck that’s been converted into a concert hall — complete with lights, sound, a piano and a violin.
Ascension Health Working to respond to recent ransomware attack
Pittsburg, KS – Ascension announced yesterday that they are working around the clock with the support of cybersecurity experts over the weekend to respond to a recent ransomware attack. Ascension says they're making progress, but it'll take time to return to normal operations. They add, all ascension Via Christi hospitals, physician offices, and care sites across Kansas remain open and operational. However, patients may encounter longer than usual wait times and some delays.
Bus driver and one student were sent to the hospital after a Bus crashed on a highway
Mt. Vernon, MO – A school bus carrying the Mount Vernon Missouri baseball team, was involved in an accident around 8:30 last night in newton county. The driver experienced a medical emergency on Missouri Highway 43 south of Petro. The bus was traveling at highway speed, went off the road, and hit a culvert. One student was taken to a Joplin hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The bus driver was taken to a hospital by private vehicle.
