An area garden is becoming more accessible to the visually impaired thanks to a student-led project.

Sandyvale Memorial Gardens and Conservancy in Johnstown held a ceremony Tuesday unveiling new braille signs that’ll be placed in the healing garden to identify plants.

The project was completed by Aly Yuschak, a student at Clairview School in Greensburg, Westmoreland County, which provides autistic, emotional and multiple disabilities support, teaching life skills through integrated services.
