JOHNSTOWN, Pa. (WTAJ) — A Johnstown man is accused of raping a woman who refused to have sex with him and choking her until she went unconscious.

Logan Moore, 22, was arrested by officers of the Richland Township Police Department on April 22 after they responded to an apartment on Theatre Drive in Richland Township for a report of a rape, according to a criminal complaint. The alleged victim told police that she and Moore had gotten into an argument about a cell phone when he refused to let her leave the apartment.

In an interview, the woman told police that at around 3 a.m. that morning, Moore told her he wanted to have sex, but that she said she did not want to. Moore then allegedly raped her and then started to argue with her again.

The alleged victim told officers that Moore then choked her twice to the point where she lost consciousness, according to the complaint. She told officers that the alleged choking happened at around 3:30 a.m. and 6 a.m.

Police noted in the complaint that there were fresh red marks on her face and neck area as well as some on her right shoulder. The woman told police that she had gotten the marks on her shoulder when Moore allegedly pushed her against the bed and floor. She added that Moore slammed her head off the bed several times during the assault, according to court documents.

Moore is in the Cambria County Prison with bail set at 10% of $250,000. He is facing felony charges of rape forcible compulsion, rape threat of forcible compulsion, sexual assault, strangulation, and misdemeanor charges of unlawful restraint and simple assault.
