WASHINGTON COUNTY, Tenn. (WJHL) — A woman was found guilty on a slew of charges after she drove recklessly through a downtown Johnson City park in 2021.

District Attorney General Steve Finney’s office announced on Friday that Patricia Duenaz was found guilty of the following by a Washington County jury:

    • Felony reckless endangerment
    • Felony evading arrest
    • DUI – 1st offense
    • Leaving the scene of an accident with injury
    • Joyriding

She was also found adjudicated guilty of a violation of implied consent charge.

On Sept. 12, 2021, Duenaz fled the scene after an attempted traffic stop. She reportedly drove recklessly through pedestiran areas in a downtown Johnson City park in an attempt to evade officers.

Officers then arrested the Duenaz after she crashed the vehicle and attempted to run away on foot.

Duenaz’s sentencing is scheduled for Sept. 9.
