JESUP COUNTY, Ga. (WSAV) – A Jesup man is being charged following multiple reported incidents in a Walmart bathroom.

Around 7 p.m. on Thursday, April 18, a Jesup police officer already on site at the Walmart on 1100 North First was alerted by the store’s on-duty officer that a man had been sitting in a stall in the men’s room and appeared to be taking photos and videos of individuals in the next stall for over an hour.

According to a police report, the suspect was a man in black crocs and black sweatpants with white on them. The officer waited outside the restroom for someone wearing those two pieces of clothing.

Once making contact, the officer identified the individual as Cershaun Parker of Jesup. Parker was asked by the officer to voluntarily hand over his phone so he could confirm if the accusations were true. Parker agreed to the search willingly.

According to a report filed by the officer, once access to the phone was gained, he was able to determine that Parker had recently deleted several photos and videos that were recorded during the time he was in the stall.

It was also found that Parker had photos and videos recently deleted that spanned from multiple previous weeks, as well as videos that had potentially been uploaded to a social media site.

The officer then arrested Parker and transported him to the Wayne County Jail. He has since been charged with six counts of peeping tom and two counts of sexual exploitation of children.
