New board policy bans cell phones at Loudonville High School in 2024-2025
LOUDONVILLE — Loudonville High School students will be welcomed back to campus this fall. Their cell phones will not — at least during the academic day. The Loudonville-Perrysville School board on Monday approved a new policy that bans high school students from having or using cell phones when school is in session.

Miss Ohio Week 2024 is officially underway in Mansfield. More than 100 entries, including 27 contestants from around the state, moved Sunday afternoon down Park Avenue into the downtown in the Miss Ohio Parade. After the parade, contestants participated in a free autograph-signing event at Richland Carrousel Park. The parade’s grand marshal was Mackenzie Bart, Miss Ohio 2014, now a meteorologist at Cleveland’s Fox 8 News. Competition begins this week, culminating with the crowning of the new Miss Ohio on Saturday night at the Renaissance Theatre in Mansfield. The winner will receive a $10,000 scholarship and the opportunity to compete at Miss America in January.

Ashland Source will select one student athlete to be recognized as the Park National Bank Athlete of the Month during the 2023-24 school year.
