Rural “Grab-N-Go” summer meals to reach more students
In a rural district like Gooding in Southern Idaho, a student living outside of town used to go through quite the process to get summer lunch. First, they would need to find a ride to drive them the 20-30 minutes into town where organizers were serving a meal at a lunch site (park, library, church, community center, etc.). The adult would need to sit with them while they ate their meal, and then drive them back to their home.
Idaho intensifies boat washing efforts while awaiting mussel treatment results
As Idahoans start to venture outdoors this spring, state officials are intensifying their efforts to halt the spread of invasive quagga mussels in the Snake River. At the base of the Snake River Canyon in Twin Falls, a few state-owned boats are queued up for a hot water spray-down. A local resident from Gooding gets a new roof
GOODING, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) —A local Gooding resident woke up to a big surprise this morning, thanks to local companies who dedicated their time to help. Joann Huber’s roof was first put on by her husband when they first moved in into the house a long time ago. Joann is now retired and her husband passed away, and now, after many many years, she needs a new roof.
