SPRINGFIELD, IL – If you're on a social media app, you may have seen the "Grazing Guse" posting about the food scene in central Illinois and in Springfield. The popular social media account has amassed close to 200,000 followers across Facebook , TikTok , Instagram and YouTube with over 1.8 million likes alone on TikToK. If you have never heard of the "Grazing Guse," you may have still seen the impact from the videos. The popular social media account's videos on The Lumpia House and Mel-O-Cream have both garnered close to or over one million views online. The Guse's video on the Twisted Pasta food truck during the Illinois State Fair helped lead to lines curve around Main Street. More: Two new food vendors share top prize at Illinois State Fair The man behind the account is Seth Ragusa, whose last name often led to him being called "Guse" as a kid and inspired the name of the account. The concept of the videos is a simple one: Ragusa samples food and then provides a rating for the food, something he didn't think was happening enough in Springfield. “Everybody else I ever saw videos (trying food) was Chicago, Chicago, Chicago,”

My order : Fairlane Diner is a 1950s-themed eatery that offers appetizers, nachos, burgers, horseshoes, wraps, other sandwiches, salads, hot dogs, dinner entrees and a variety of ice cream treats. I had a Mushroom & Swiss Basket ($14.60), a double smashburger with mushrooms and cheese, plus a 20-ounce drink and a choice of fries or tater tots. The patties were nicely seasoned and steaming hot; the tots were super crisp. My companion ordered the Club Salad ($12.73), a blend of lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, croutons, turkey, ham, two cheeses and bacon. It was a large salad, and the ingredients were fresh and crunchy. Extra points for the delicious raspberry vinaigrette dressing. Likes: The menu offers a few hard-to-find choices, such as a Chicago Dog Horseshoe and a fried bologna sandwich. Dislikes: None What would I order next time? Next time I won’t make the mistake of not ordering

This Unassuming Illinois Pizzeria Serves Sausage Pizza So Good It Should Almost Be Illegal

Anthony Bourdain called one pan pizza the only deep dish he ever loved. That pie still comes out of a small, homey pizzeria on a quiet suburban street in Illinois. The crust edge gets so dark and caramelized that it looks almost burnt. It isn’t. That crunchy, cheesy rim is the whole point, and the sausage on top is a house blend.

Two Illinois pizzerias earned spots on The Infatuation’s recent analysis of the best pizza places in America. Both are in Chicago and serve distinctly different styles. FULL STORY: These 2 Illinois pizza shops serve some of the best pies in America, report says Here are key takeaways: The Sept. 22 report from The Infatuation, “ The Best Pizza Places in America ,” named Pizz’Amici and Milly’s Pizza In The Pan among the nation’s best. A cheese pizza starts at $20 for a 10-inch and $24 for a 14-inch. Pizz’Amici is at 1215 W. Grand Ave. in Chicago. Milly’s has two locations: 925 N. Ashland Ave. and 3409 N. Broadway in Chicago. Milly’s does not take reservations and makes a limited number of pizzas each day, so staff recommend placing an order online in advance. In a
