Missing 6-year-old from Jeff City found safe in Kansas: Authorities

Update: Six-year-old Ahrin James West was found safe in Kansas Friday, and an endangered person advisory was canceled, a ccording to authorities.

Authorities are seeking a 6-year-old boy who police said was picked up in Jefferson City on Friday afternoon by his mother, who did not have custody over him and who was headed for Kansas City, Kansas.

Jefferson City police issued an endangered person advisory on Friday and identified the missing child as Ahrin James West. Officials said the vehicle they were looking for was a white 2010 Nissan Murano with a “905 MPH” Kansas license plate. The child’s mother was identified as Nicole Marbut.

Police said the child was picked up from school in Jefferson City around 3 p.m. Friday.
