Street closure announced in Jefferson City for Week 2 of state track championships
JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KMIZ) The Jefferson City Police Department announced in a Thursday press release that there will be a street closure near Adkins Stadium during the second weekend of state track championships. Stadium Drive will be closed between Jackson Street and Mesa Avenue. The closure lasts from 7 a.m.-7 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. WARRENSBURG – Dayne Loftin is doing something this weekend he has never done: He’s competing in two events at state competition in track and field. Loftin, who graduated recently from Richmond High School, is scheduled to run in the preliminaries of the Class 3 boys 110-meter high hurdles at 11:35 a.m. Friday. If he places in the top eight, he’ll run in the finals at 11:20 a.m. Saturday. He’s also slated to compete in the triple jump at 9:30 a.m. Saturday. All events will be at Jefferson City High School.
