PERU, N.Y. — Within a matter of two days, Section VII's undefeateds on the diamond have been defeated. A 4-3 Ticonderoga High School softball win against undefeated Saranac High School on Wednesday, May 1, was followed by a 5-4 Peru High School baseball win against undefeated Plattsburgh High School the next day: Thursday, May 2.

Ticonderoga High School softball stuns undefeated Saranac on the road
SARANAC, N.Y. — A matchup between the top high school softball squads in Section VII Class B and C was as good as advertised. Ticonderoga, Class C's top team entering the contest at 6-1, battled Saranac, entering the contest as Class B's top squad with an undefeated 7-0 record, to the very end. The Sentinels were rewarded for their efforts, where strong defense, pitching from starter Myleigh Drinkwine and two timely RBI hits helped the Sentinels take the 4-3 win.
