Beloit man arrested for 3rd offense OWI after running red light in Janesville

JANESVILLE, Wis. -- Janesville police arrested a 36-year-old Beloit man just after 12:30 a.m. Sunday after he crossed the centerline and ran a red light police say.

The incident happened between South Pearl Street and West Holmes Street and the vehicle had five other passengers all under the age of 16 years old.

According to police, the man showed signs of being drunk and failed field sobriety testing.

The man was arrested and a blood sample was taken with results pending.

The man was held at the Rock County Jail on Operating While Intoxicated (3rd Offense) and Five Counts of Operating While Intoxicated w/passenger under the age of 16.
