Suspect arrested after woman found dead on Janesville trail
JANESVILLE, Wis. (WMTV) - Janesville Police Department officers arrested a man in connection to a woman found dead on a trail on the city’s south side. Police explained a Rock County dispatcher received a call on Wednesday from a resident who found the body of a woman in the woods on the Peace Trail, along Afton Road, near West Rockport Drive.

SUV driver cited in East Milwaukee Street crash
JANESVILLE — A 24-year-old Janesville woman has been cited for failing to yield while making a left turn, resulting in bodily harm, in a crash on East Milwaukee Street Saturday that critically injured a motorcyclist. Skyla Richardson is scheduled to make an initial appearance in Rock County Circuit Court at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 14. Richardson was driving a crossover SUV when she allegedly hit a 42-year-old Janesville man driving a motorcycle. The crash happened just before 5 p.m. It closed East Milwaukee Street from South Pontiac Drive to Somerset Drive until 11 p.m. Saturday evening. The man, the sole occupant of the motorcycle, was transported to a local hospital with critical injuries. The Janesville Police Department said no additional details were available on him or his condition.
