BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A Jamestown woman, known to have an outstanding warrant from the Jamestown police department, was charged with seventh degree possession of a controlled substance.

36-year-old Vanessa L. Figueredo was in a vehicle that was pulled over during a traffic stop at N. Main St and W 7th St. just before 1:40 a.m. Friday. Officials say she had an outstanding warrant for assault among multiple other charges.

Figueredo was taken into custody and allegedly tried to conceal a quantity of crack cocaine by discarding it near the vehicle.

She was charged with seventh degree possession of a controlled substance and tampering with physical evidence.
