Blue Jay Softball Frustrated In Doubleheader Loss To Legacy
JAMESTOWN – Pitching and defense didn’t help Jamestown Blue Jay Softball Thursday. Bismarck Legacy took two games from Jamestown 12-7 and 10-2 at Trapper Lawrence Field. Six runs in the fifth inning helped Legacy grab the lead they would not relinquish. Micah Heinemeyer hit a three-run double to give Legacy a 6-4 lead in that big inning. Riley Ingemansen hit a two-run single and Brynn Arnold socked a solo home run for the Sabers.

JAMESTOWN – Williston kept Jamestown winless in girls tennis with a 9-0 dual win Thursday at Bolinger Courts. Valley City Track & Field Results from Jamestown True Meet
With only a handful of meets left until the state finals in Bismarck, the Valley City Track & Field team headed westward for the Jamestown True Meet. Once again, the Hi-Liners managed to capture several event wins and several other top-eight finishes. Motorcycle driver seriously injured, arrested for DUI after Barnes County crash
BARNES COUNTY, N.D. (KFGO/KVRR) – A man was seriously injured in a motorcycle crash, 2 miles north of Valley City, North Dakota around 5:30 Sunday afternoon. The State Patrol says the driver was southbound on County Road 21, 2 miles north of Valley City when he lost control of the motorcycle and ran off the road, stopping in the north ditch.

KANSAS CITY, MO – University of Jamestown freshman hitter Caydann Cox is on third team of the NAIA Men’s Volleyball All-American Teams, announced Thursday. Cox had 264 kills with a .357 hitting percentage and an average of 3.57 kills per set. Cox also had 163 digs and 46 total blocks, 21 of which were solo. He had 21 service aces and a serve reception percentage of .973.
