JSO: Man shot in foot after 2 unknown suspects pull gun, machete on him in argument

Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said a man was shot in the foot following an argument on Restlawn Drive.

According to detectives, the victim got into an argument with the 2 suspects, and it became physical. One of the suspects pulled out a machete and the other pulled out a gun.

While the victim was running away, he was shot once in the foot. Both suspects fled in a white SUV. JSO said the identities of the suspects are still unknown.

The victim sustained a minor injury to his foot as a result of the shooting and was treated by medical personnel at the scene.

Detectives are canvassing the area for video surveillance and spoke with witnesses.
