    Southern Defeats Jackson 3-2 in Saturday's Shore Conference Baseball Tourney Quarterfinals

    STAFFORD - Southern Regional High School's top-ranked baseball squad defeated Jackson Memorial on Saturday 3-2 at home.  The Rams are the top seed in the SCT this year.

    The Rams advance into the semifinals of the Shore Conference Tournament where they will host Wall, the SCT's fifth seed, at home on Monday.

    The Rams were led today by Ray Mulhern, who went 3 for 4.

    Jackson opened the scoring in the top of the second, taking a 2-0 lead. Southern answered in the bottom of the second inning, scoring three runs and that held up as the final score.

    Tyler McLeod was 1 for 1 with an RBI. Brady Lesiak accounted for a hit. The Rams had five hits on the day.

    Roger Dreher pitched the first two innings, giving up two runs. Brady Lesiak finished the game, pitching five innings and shutting the door on the Jaguars scoring.
