    Early voting in runoff next week Brian Smith Tue, 05/14/2024 - 3:32 pm Early voting for the runoff election between Jack County Sheriff candidates RC Langford and T-Bob Hauger begins next Monday. All early voting will be done at the Jack County Courthouse, Room 104. Voting will be held from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday, May 20 through Friday, May 24. Election Day is Tuesday, May 28 with voting hours from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the courthouse, as well as the Bryson Senior Citizens Building, 201 S. College St.; Perrin Church of Christ, 105 W. Eberhart; and Jack County Fair Barn, 1072 Hwy. 59, in Jacksboro. In the March 4 primary election, Hauger received 842 votes, or 40.91% with Langford getting 654 votes, or 31.78%. For the District 30 State Senate race, Jace Yarbrough will face Brent Hagenbuch on the Republican side. Statewide, Hagenbuch received 21,032 votes, or 36.38%, and Yarbrough received 17,546 votes, or 33.94%, during the March 4 election. Two Democratic candidates will also be heading to a runoff for the District 30 race. Throughout the state, Michael Braxton received 7,833 votes, or 37.72%, with Dale Frey receiving 4,206 votes, or 29.26%. The winner from each District 30 runoff will face each other in the November general election.
