Duluth Marshall’s Johnson, International Falls’ Hesseldahl commit to local colleges
Two local colleges are welcoming new Northland athletes. Monday, Duluth Marshall’s Brooks Johnson announced he’s committed to play basketball for UMD. Just a junior last year, he led the Hilltoppers in points, averaging over 32 a game with 899 on the season. In rebounds, Johnson averaged nearly 17 a game.

MOUNTAIN IRON—Kylee Renzaglia went 4 for 4 at the plate and pitcher Jersey Yernatich struck out seven batters to lead the Mountain Iron-Buhl Rangers softball team to a 12-2 win over Littlefork-Big Falls in five innings Tuesday.
