    Body of missing 2-year-old found in pond near home

    INDIANAPOLIS — The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department has called off a search for a 2-year-old girl that went missing on Saturday.

    According to the department, Anna Fabor Mandanda was last seen at 3 p.m. on Saturday, in the 6900 block of Governors Point Blvd. on the city's south side.

    In an updated release Saturday evening, IMPD said the body of an unidentified child was recovered from a pond near the location Mandanda went missing.

    The Marion County Coroner’s Office announced Monday morning that the body was that of Mandanda.

    IMPD said they will continue to investigate the circumstances of how Mandanda went missing.
